11 times capped Springbok wing joins the Kings
The Southern Kings have bolstered their backline stocks ahead of the 2018/2019 Pro14 season.
The Port Elizabeth team have signed Springbok wing Bjorn Basson and Bulls centre Ulrich Beyers ahead of the new season.
“We all know Bjorn is a fine player and Ulrich is big and bustling. We are very happy to have signed them,” Kings Chief Operating Officer Charl Crous told the Herald.
Basson has 11 Test caps for the Springboks. He previously played for Bulls, Cheetahs, Stormers, Griquas and Oyonnax, who joined as a medical joker last December.
The other confirmed new signings for the Cheetahs are new Kings signings are locks JC Astle and Schalk Oelofse, and scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius.
The Southern Kings open their 2018/2019 Pro14 season in Italy where they will face Zebre on August 31.

Yeah, Perofeta's injury opened the door for Love to debut. Love's injury in NPC ruled him out of the Bledisloe Cup matches, but Robertson saw potential in him, so he kept him around for the EOYT. However, Perofeta's recovery meant he could return, hence Love being played on the Wing.
Robertson's attitude was just pissing me off near the end of the year, with how he'd go around complimenting the new guys as if he'd always seen potential in them, despite only giving them a chance due to injuries.
