'Angry, sad, confused, betrayed' - Heartbroken Kerevi says truth will come out

Blockbusting Wallabies centre Samu Kerevi has taken to social media to address his withdrawal from Australia's tour of Europe this November.
The Japan-based Kerevi made a shock exit from the squad earlier this week, and has now been joined by fellow Top League Wallabies Sean McMahon and Quade Cooper in removing themselves from selection from the tour at short notice.
Now the midfielder has given a tantalising social media post in which he suggests that there is more to his withdrawal than might meet the eye.
"I’ve changed what I’ve wanted to write on this post many times. I’ve felt angry, sad, confused, betrayed but mostly Heart Broken [sic]," Kerevi posted on Instagram.
"I’m trying my best to let God take control instead of letting my emotions take over... But be careful, God has a way of bringing out the TRUTH one way or the other. He has his ways of Humbling us all!
"I thank my club Suntory Sungoliath, for allowing me this opportunity during my holiday to continue to pursue that dream.
"I cherish my time in the Wallaby Gold and having this opportunity to again represent this country has been amazing. Most importantly my team mates who we grow with each day through the highs and lows & Dave and his staff for their efforts the past few months. It’s never any one players jersey! You need strong shoulders when you put that Jersey on because you carry the history of all the players of the past that payed it forward as I will one day leave it for the next. That time may be now and if it is I will forever be grateful to have had played a part in the Wallaby Journey.

Kerevi's withdrawal is a major blow for the Wallabies. Backrower McMahon made just one bench cameo but Kerevi was key to the side's resurgence, breaking the line and creating space for fellow returnee Cooper to control the contest at 10.
They won four straight Tests with Kerevi in the No.12, jumping from seventh to third in the world rankings. An ankle injury ruled him out of Saturday's Test against Japan and his absence was felt in a narrow win, replacement Hunter Paisami unable to create the same go-forward.
Dave Rennie is set to welcome France-based trio Will Skelton, Rory Arnold and Tolu Latu into the squad.

It is so good that we now all get excited and debate who is best and emotionally get involved. We all back our teams which is great. Up until about 15-20 years ago, NZ was basically on its own, and then Saffa, Aussie and sometimes French and English were there. We now have at least 5-6 really top sides and another 4 who keep improving. This is so healthy. So we should not resort to rubbish comments and unhealthy debate, but rather all be chuffed that the product we watch is not competitive, exciting and often uncertain. It would be so good if World Rugger could find a way to align the rules to professional players as well as spectators. Live rugby games are SO boring as there is SO much down time as we wait for refs and TMOs and whoever else to look at every small event going back endless phases with the hope of eventually find a minute infringement to then decide cancel what was a wonderful try. This is the ultimate cork back in the bottle moment and feels like every balloon is always being popped. Come on- we must be better with the rules.
