Another All Blacks loose forward heading offshore
All Blacks blindside Liam Squire is set to leave New Zealand after the World Cup according to a report from The New Zealand Herald.
Squire has signed a deal with an undiscloses Japanese club who he will join following the showpiece tournament later this year.
Squire has 23 tests to his name and has blossomed into a star since joining the Highlanders in 2016, though he has faced time on the sideline through injury during his tenure in black.
Former Chiefs coach Dave Rennie gave Squire his Super Rugby start in 2014 but concussion and a rash of other injuries have seen him miss long periods.
Squire made his All Blacks debut in 2016 after joining the Highlanders and since the departure of longtime No 6 Jerome Kaino has been an All Black mainstay.
Squire joins an ever-growing list of All Black loose forwards shifting overseas after the World Cup.
Crusaders blindside flanker Jordan Taufua will join English Premiership club Leicester Tigers at the end of the year, and All Blacks captain and No 8 Kieran Read has indicated he will either retire or shift overseas after the World Cup.
Crusaders openside flanker Matt Todd may return to Japan after serving a stint with Panasonic at the end of 2018.

They did. In 2020.
Would have been WC victory with Razor in charge last year! Schmidt would have been pulled in to help Rennie and these performances would have built up last year for Aussie (instead of his incfluence helping NZ) and they would have been riding a high of returning players and league signings building to the B&I Lions and a RWC at home. And then Smchidt would have been ready to take the mantel of the All Blacks this year!
Oh how it could have been so so different if Robinson had of realised the folly in the handme down appointments policy they had back then.
