Another Springbok heads to France

Parisian club Racing 92 have made an addition to their roster, however, it's unlikely that new signing Pat Lambie will be joining them until the middle of next year.

According to Midi Olympique, Springbok fullback has signed with the glamour outfit for the next three seasons. Racing have a particular fondness for South Africans, with the likes of Jacques Cronjé, Johan Goosen, Juandré Kruger, Brian Mujati, François Steyn, Francois van der Merwe and Gerbrandt Grobler all playing for the club in recent years.

Earlier this month, Lambie refuted claims that he was contemplating early retirement due to concussion related symptoms. This should still concern his new employers, given the long lay off times other leading players have endured for head knocks lately.

It's unlikely he'll be seen on a rugby field again this season, however it's understood that Racing want him in Paris as soon as possible.

The 26-year-old has played 56 tests for the Springboks, scoring 153 points. As the regular goal kicker for the Sharks, he's also racked up 757 points in 71 Super Rugby games.

The most notable moment in his career so far would have to be kicking the match winning 55 metre penalty in the Springboks 27-25 win over the All Blacks in 2014.
