Bath player ratings: Bath’s bright start shocked Leinster but discipline and the home side's relentless power proved decisive in the second half, even if the 47-21 scoreline flattered the men in dark blue.

We rate the Bath players below:

1. Beno Obano – 4

Started with physicality but struggled at scrum time against a dominant Leinster front row. Received two yellow cards, the second proving costly as Bath played with 14 men for the remainder of the game.

2. Niall Annett – 6

Energetic in the opening stages and made his presence felt at the breakdown. Substituted after 54 minutes.

3. Will Stuart – 5

Contributed to Bath’s early dominance but was replaced early in the second half as the scrum began to falter.

4. Quinn Roux – 6

Solid in the lineout and showed plenty of aggression in the tight exchanges before being substituted.

5. Ross Molony – 7

A motivated performance against his former teammates. Strong in the set-piece and made key tackles, though Bath's pack lost dominance in the second half.

6. Ted Hill – 7

Carried well and worked tirelessly in defence. Made a vital early break that set the tone for Bath’s fast start.

7. Miles Reid – 6

A dogged performance but faded as the game wore on.

8. Alfie Barbeary – 8

A standout performer. Scored Bath's first try and nearly added a second. Consistently put Leinster’s defence under pressure but was stopped just short of the line on multiple occasions.

Sharp service from the base in the first half but struggled to dictate in the second, with errors creeping into his game.

10. Finn Russell – 6.5

Pulled the strings well in the first half, including a key role in de Glanville's try. Less influential after the break as Bath lost their attacking rhythm. Won his personal battle with rookie Sam Prendergast, but that wasn't saying too much given the Irishman's hit-and-miss performance. Like Prendergast, Russell had an aversion to tackling.

11. Ruaridh McConnochie – 6

Made some strong carries but was starved of opportunities in the second half.

12. Max Ojomoh – 5

Porous in defence even if he ran some clever lines in attack. Took a heavy contact before leaving the field.

13. Ollie Lawrence – 8

A constant menace to Leinster’s defence. Made a crucial break to set up de Glanville’s try and was one of Bath’s most dangerous runners.

14. Joe Cokanasiga – 6

Had a couple of strong carries but struggled to make an impact in open play in his 100th cap.

15. Tom de Glanville – 8.5

Scored a brilliant try to cap a flowing move at the end of the first half. Showed composure under the high ball and linked up well with his backline. Was good value for his second five-pointer.
