All Blacks call up replacement for Retallick
New Zealand star Brodie Retallick will miss at least the All Blacks' clash with South Africa due to a shoulder injury.
Retallick suffered the injury during his team's 46-24 victory over Argentina in Nelson on Saturday.
The 27-year-old, who helped the All Blacks win the 2015 Rugby World Cup, has been ruled out of New Zealand's meeting with the Springboks in Wellington on September 15.
Patrick Tuipulotu has been called up as Retallick's replacement, the All Blacks confirmed.
Tuipulotu made his first Mitre 10 Cup appearance of the season on Friday, scoring a hat trick for Auckland in a 29-10 victory over Tasman.
Retallick may yet miss further matches, with New Zealand confirming he would undergo scans on the injury.
In a further blow, they also revealed Ngani Laumape would be sidelined for "at least a couple of weeks" due to a knee injury.
The All Blacks have won their opening three Rugby Championship matches to sit top of the table.

I'm a huge ABs fan. I think the game was messy but enjoyable to watch. The Italians really defended very well... To see ABs try different ways to break them during phase play was interesting to watch
Go to commentsMy bad, added missing words. Just saying so many injuries that it was a 23% win rate team for a lot of games.
And they'll be up around something like 70% next year which will see Penney get reappointed!
