Bordeaux to swoop for Wallabies lock - report

By Ian Cameron
Adam Coleman confronts the All Blacks

Union Bordeaux-Bègles could be one of the first clubs to swoop on the carcass of London Irish, with reports in France suggest a Wallaby lock could be the first prize landed.

According to RugbyRama, second row Adam Coleman is a target for the big spending Top 14 side.

Coleman is one of the biggest names on the roster at London Irish, and is said to have aroused interest on both side of the channel.

The 6ft 8in second row, who has won 31 caps and had been an ever-present for Australia prior to joining London Irish, is effectively out of Wallabies contention.

Coleman made 14 appearances in all competitions for London Irish in his first two seasons, having linked up with the club in January 2020.

While highly rated, eyebrows were raised when it was revealed that Irish paid an eye-watering £900,000 a year for his services.
