Brad Thorn addresses Quade Cooper's comeback chances
Queensland Reds coach Brad Thorn has confirmed that Quade Cooper won't be re-joining his side anytime soon despite admitting their lack of inspiration after a beating at the hands of the Waratahs on Saturday.
Thorn also all commented on the status of former international Karmichael Hunt, who recently had a cocaine possession charge dropped and hasn't been sighted at the club since December.
"Quade's been playing club rugby. He's been playing well, but we've just been working with the guys we've got there," Thorn said when asked if Cooper had a chance at a Super Rugby return.
When reminded that he was the one holding the keys to Cooper's return, Thorn stood firm.
"Like I said at the start of the season, we're going in a different direction, so that's all I've got for ya," Thorn said.
As for Hunt, his return also seems unlikely.
"Yeah well, he hasn't been in and he's not playing club rugby at the moment so that doesn't look to be happening," Thorn said.
The Reds currently sit fourth in the Australian conference, above only the winless Sunwolves after dropping their last three games.
Their next two fixtures see them host the Chiefs and Lions in a tough two-game home stand.

Can't have a Kiwi comment without blaming someone else for their defeats. A 14 point try to France apparently the culprit last week!!
