Their soccer team always had glorious squads that never quite achieved their potential. Then they won a home world cup and their a powerhouse now.

They just need that maiden win and really they are among the only five teams capable of winning a RWC. They should have at least one by now.

It's a great set up though. It's always full houses and well attended in impressive stadiums. It always stands out watching it that you see plenty of young families at the games which is brilliant to see.

I was over at La Rochelle in 2017 for the Ulster game in the CC. They weren't quite the force they became but we got taught an absolute lesson that day!!!

There was about 100 school kids a few rows down from us with war paint and beating drums. It was an early Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was jaw dropping.

That young 9 they went with looked great in the tackle. If your halve backs look good doing it then it's obviously a well coached set up.

Rugby is still so different as it's still a pyramid built ok the grass roots game.

It could honestly be a great career for a recently retired, ex-pro. They get up skilled in the new tackling and race through their coaching badges. Then bomb around the country teaching it in schools and at clubs.

I know anecdotally of some English front row players in the domestic game in the early to mid 00’s. They were habitually using cocaine to recover from full contact sessions from training.

This is the first time I am making a comment on this platform. I just want to express my appreciation for Beauden! I have been a Beauden fan from the beginning of his career. Whether he makes it to the end of his contract in 2027, all the many scenarios that have been painted in this article and all the many comments relating to Richie, D-Mac and Love, whatever happens, happens, but, I am taking the opportunity to appreciate this great talent, great athlete, great rugby player and great man. I am bias, I hope he makes it to the 2027 world cup but who knows. What I do know is Beauden Barrett has been an outstanding All Black, he has represented the jersey with the mana, respect and reverence that comes with the black jersey. He is humble and doesn’t seek glory for himself but for the team, so for however long he plays, I will be watching, appreciating him as one of the greats of All Blacks rugby and I’ll be watching every other game the All Blacks play with Beauden in the team or no longer. I Love the ALL BLACKS NO MATTER WHAT!!
