Cheetahs make light work of Kings thanks to Lee hat-trick
By Jack Davies
Nico Lee scored a hat-trick as the Cheetahs raced to a 45-21 victory over the Southern Kings in the Pro14 on Saturday.
With the rest of the league in European action, this all-South African clash was the only match on the schedule this weekend.
Lee's treble - completed seven minutes from time - accounted for half of the Cheetahs' tries as the visitors scored three in each half at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The result lifts the Cheetahs to within eight points of second-placed Munster in Conference A, with the South Africans having played a match less.
The Kings, meanwhile, remain winless at the bottom of Conference B ahead of a run of three away fixtures.
