Chris Wyles makes shock return to Saracens
Chris Wyles has temporarily come out of retirement and goes straight into contention to face Sale Sharks on Saturday.
The 35-year-old, who retired at the end of last season following his two tries in Saracens’ Premiership final win over Exeter Chiefs, has trained with the squad this week and will provide cover on the wings whilst there are several absentees.
Liam Williams and Sean Maitland are away on international duty while David Strettle, Ali Crossdale, Matt Gallagher, Rotimi Segun and Duncan Taylor are missing through injury.
“It’s a bit surreal but I’m delighted to be back and to have the opportunity to play for Saracens again,” Wyles said.
“The possibility of getting back out in front of the Allianz Park crowd and playing in front of the people who have been most supportive of me and Wolfpack is an awesome thought.”

Some interesting points made by the Breakdown team. I think Scott Barrett will get better . At the moment Antonio Shalfoon is the form Crusaders lock and Quinten Strange and Jamie Hannah are back. Young Tahler Cahill played very well on Saturday. With the team finding it’s mojo again and Scott will come back refreshed.
Go to commentsGreat comments about Crusaders fullback Will Jordan. Those 2 try assists were brilliant. He was in to everything. Article is correct lock Antonio Shalfoon made a huge difference after being left out the week before. He is tough, uncompromising. AB selectors hopefully keeping an eye on him. Tom Christie’s tackling statistics say it all. He just kept on going.
