Concerns as Welsh lock Beard leaves field on stretcher

Welsh secondrow Adam Beard is a Six Nations doubt after leaving today's Ospreys Cardiff Blues derby on a stretcher.
The 6'8 Osprey was involved in a collision just two mintues into the game, and was placed in a beck brace after receiving medical treatment on the pitch.
He was then taken to hospital.
The 22-year-old has become a regular starter for Warren Gatland's Wales, and the injury throws into doubt his participation in the Six Nations.
Beard is the latest injury doubt for Wales, who are unlikely to have the services of Scarlets' Leigh Halfpenny for the tournament.
Scarlets coach Wayne Pivac confirmed the fullback would visit a specialist due to his concussion issues.
The full-back has not featured since November 10 when he took a blow to the head from Samu Kerevi in Wales’ victory over Australia in Cardiff.
“He was training at the start of the week and still picking up the odd issue there in terms of headaches."
Gatland is also unlikely to have the services of Aaron Shingler, Rhys Patchell, James Davies and Jake Ball for some or all of the tournament.
