Dan Leavy provides post-surgery update a month on from horror injury

Ireland and Leinster flanker Dan Leavy has provided his Instagram followers an update from hospital after having surgery on his knee.

The 24-year-old sustained a horrific ligament injury to his knee in Leinster’s Champions Cup quarter-final victory against Ulster in March, and is now set to miss the World Cup.

The flanker had only just returned from injury after missing Ireland’s entire Six Nations defence, and this further layoff will mark a devastating year for the player.
