Dom Barrow is on the hunt for a new club after leaving Northampton Saints with immediate effect.

The former Leicester Tigers and Newcastle Falcons lock has left Franklin's Gardens by "mutual consent".

Barrow spent three seasons with Leicester, leaving the club in March last year for La Rochelle as a medical joker.

He joined the Saints for the 2018/19 season but had an injury disrupted spell which meant the 25-year-old failed to make an impact.

In a brief statement Northampton said: "Northampton Saints today confirms that Dom Barrow has left the Club by mutual consent.

"Following some periods of unavailability through injury and the emergence of some home grown locks at the Club, Dom has had limited opportunities at Saints. He has a strong appetite and desire to play the game at the highest level and everyone at Northampton Saints wishes him well in his future career."

Barrow cut his teeth with Yorkshire Carnegie before being picked up by the Falcons.

While at Yorkshire he was part of the England Under 20 side which won the 2013 Junior World Championship, a team which also featured Jack Nowell, Anthony Watson, Henry Slade and Luke Cowan-Dickie. They beat Wales 23-15 in the final.
