Emerging Ireland casualty list grows with late change made to squad
Emerging Ireland have been dealt another injury blow with Connacht prop Jordan Duggan being replaced by Leinster's Alex Usanov the day before the squad embark for South Africa.
Duggan will return to Connacht to receive treatment on an ankle injury he picked up in training this week.
This is the latest setback for Simon Easterby's squad, who saw Connacht wing Shayne Bolton, Leinster prop Jack Boyle and Leinster centre Tommy O’Brien forced to pull out earlier this week.
Ireland Sevens star Chay Mullins, Munster prop Mark Donnelly and Leinster fly-half Charlie Tector were called up in their place.
The squad convened on Wednesday before leaving for South Africa on Saturday ahead of fixtures against the Pumas, the Western Force and the Cheetahs.

Well yes and no. Perhaps not the best examples you've chosen. Dan Carter was clearly the best 10 on the planet in his era, perhaps ever. And he won a WC. Richie won 2. Yes he lost in Cardiff but it's what you do with failure that ultimately defines you. He led NZ to two WC's afterwards. DuPont, clearly the best in his position, Cane never has been. BOD, was probably the best 13 at some point in his career, and shone in a far more average Ireland team than we know today. There's rarely greatness without failure, just Cane never quite reached that level for long enough or in the moments that make history. Good player though who's given plenty so fair play to him.
