England wing Immanuel Feyi-Waboso out of France clash

Immanuel Feyi-Waboso has been ruled out of England’s Guinness Six Nations clash with France on Saturday after self-reporting symptoms of concussion.

Feyi-Waboso took a head knock in the 23-22 victory over Ireland in round four that has revived England’s title hopes and, while he finished the match, he later began to feel the effects of a possible concussion.

The electric 21-year-old wing was a likely starter in the climax to the tournament in Lyon after making an impact on his full debut against Andy Farrell’s men.

“Manny felt a bit groggy, so he is unfortunately ruled out of the game, but we don’t take any risks with that sort of stuff,” attack coach Richard Wigglesworth said.

Real shame. Compounded by the lack of a decent replacement in the squad. Daly hasn't added much so far. I hope he can bring his A game on the weekend.

Read it back after I posted and it did occur that the mutual loathing applies probably even more so to the lions nations, well everyone else loathing England that is! 🤣🤣

Ps Benazzi has indicated that they’re looking to set something up outside of the existing Lions cycle. No idea how that could work but where there’s a payout, there’s a way I guess…

What ties do they have? Let's see, AB's and Boks is the biggest rivals in the world of rugby. More people from different countries tune in to see these monster teams go at it hammer and tongs than what they time in for anyone else. Although they respect each other, they do not like each other much. Still, 7/10 WC trophies is shared between them. WC stars from the SH that the NH fans barely see outside of WC's will make fans across Europe rush to get tickets. Instant sell out. The styles of the 4 different SH teams is very different and they all se their way as the best. Who would even coach such a team? I believe they can be as big if not bigger than BIL tours

Lessons the Wallabies must heed to turn Lions heartbreak into future success

Well I think this first choice Lions team would have at least one English lock, take your pick! Itoje was exceptional as a young player but he's not the player he was, he seems to be in a permanent state of burnout. That said even a burnt out Itoje is still a very good player. He does a lot of great work in the set piece, mauls and rucks.

Hansen is playing far better than Freeman. He's had a pretty awful tour but was exceptional in the 6N. Very odd. He's been especially pour aerially which is one of his strengths. A lot of the Irish players have stood up this tour while the English have struggled. Probably not used to having to both make and receive passes during a match.

I also find the exclusion of the players you mention hard to figure out, why no Kerevi or LSL after three pretty good performances v the Lions?

The defence I just cannot work out. It has just made life so easy for Finn Russell and the Lions attack.

But as you rightly conclude, the series as a whole just feels flat and without the dramatic content it might had had.
