Farrell includes Leinster sensation in 35-man Ireland squad

Ireland v Scotland – Guinness Six Nations – Aviva Stadium

Andy Farrell has called up another young Leinster star to his 35-man Ireland squad.

With Ireland's Six Nations game against Italy, originally due to be played in Dublin this Saturday, postponed in a bid to halt the spread of the coronavirus, Farrell's squad will train this week at the IRFU’s High Performance Centre in preparation for their round five fixture against France in Paris on Saturday 14th March.

A squad of 35 have been assembled for the training camp, with Connacht pair Ultan Dillane and Dave Heffernan joining the group later on Monday having played for Connacht in Port Elizabeth on Sunday in the Guinness PRO14.

And there is also a place in the squad for Leinster sensation Ryan Baird, who marked his second start for the province with a stunning hat-trick in Friday;s 55-19 thrashing of Glasgow Warriors.

The 20-year-old, who previously trained with the squad in their pre-Six Nations camp in Portugal in late January, will join the group for the early part of the training camp.
