Parody: Folau and Pocock square off in tense confrontation
Israel Folau and David Pocock appear to have squared off in a tense exchange in a Hooters car park on the outskirts of Sydney.
The Wallaby teammates bumped into each other for the first time since Folau’s controversial anti-gay comments on social media.
It appears Folau initiated the confrontation demanding to know ‘What’s up brah?’ Pocock hit back with a ‘What brah?’ before the situation threatened to escalate with Pocock offering Folau an opportunity to take a swing.
Michael Cheika, who was in the area shopping for an evening scarf, waded into the confrontation, suggesting that (inaudible) wipe the street with his punk ass. It was not clear whose side he was on. Cheika was unavailable for comment.
When Folau pushed Pocock on his 'Brothaurity', the Brumbies player hit back citing West Side Story, Sweenie Todd & Merrily We Rode Along, all apparent references to some of Folau’s favourite scriptures.
Pocock went on to ask Folau why he had to disrespect him, which led to a climb down from Folau who insisted he did in fact respect Pocock. The sentiment was aggressively exchanged several times before the two stars agreed that they did respect each other despite their difference of opinions.
