Former Wallabies take to Twitter to protest Quade Cooper's treatment
A number of former Wallabies have expressed their discontent with the treatment of Quade Cooper and Nick Frisby at the Queensland Reds.
Both Cooper and Frisby have been told they are effectively no longer needed at the club by new Reds coach Brad Thorn.
“I’ve had honest conversations with Quade Cooper and Nick Frisby about where they currently sit in our plans for 2018,” said the former All Black lock. “They’re not training with the Reds at the moment and will be training with their clubs instead.”
The players' treatment has seen a number of Wallabies take to Twitter to question their colleagues treatment. Drew Mitchell weighed in:
His tweet was followed by Digby Ioane and Nathan Charles.
Cooper has been linked with a move to Japan and Europe having returned to the Super Rugby franchise last year following a short spell with Toulon.
Despite the apparent axing, Cooper still has two years left on a three year contract with the Reds, and could theoretically choose to see it out at club level.
