VIDEO: Gatland hits back at NZ media with 'clown nose' press conference
By Harry West
Warren Gatland took a playful swipe at his critics as he turned up for Saturday's post-match news conference sporting a red clown's nose.
Gatland's British and Irish Lions earned a 15-15 draw with New Zealand at Eden Park, ensuring the series was shared 1-1.
The Kiwi was depicted as a clown in a New Zealand Herald cartoon ahead of the second Test, which the Lions won 24-21 to level the series.
He described himself as "a pretty happy clown" following that success and continued with the theme after the third and final Test, facing the media wearing a red nose.
"It was my idea. I had it last week, but didn't think it was the right time," he said.

The prem games this season have mainly been great to watch , with the exception of Sale. So boring and predictable.
Let's have more of Bristol, Bath , Quins etc style of play.
Rugby needs expansive play to put more bums on seats . Not the dirge of rolling forward mauls constantly trying to bully their way over the line.
It has its place yes to draw the defence but the fans want to see more running rugby . Not win at any cost and sod the entertainment .
So Borthwick should drop Marcus Smith? He's the odd one out, forcing the rest of the English backline into a gameplay they don't know. Replacing him with Fin or Ford makes everyone more likely to succeed.
