Georgian wrecking ball completes move to new Top 14 club
Georgian international Levan Chilachava has officially signed a new three-year deal with Montpellier, completing the move from Toulon.
The 26-year-old prop will leave the club where he became a professional after nine seasons. He leaves with mixed emotions, with his heart in Toulon.
"It's a bit difficult for me but I think that leaving can also be beneficial, " he admits.
With 40-test caps to his name, Chilachava will bring experience to Montpellier's front row which includes Springbok Jannie du Plessis. He joins eight new signings for the club including Julien Ledevedec from Brive and ex-Springbok flyhalf Johan Goosen.
He is currently training with the national side but when he returns he will play with two fellow Georgians in Misha Nariashvili and Konstantin Mikautadze, who also left Toulon last year.

I agree largely and I rate McKenzie as a wonderful utility at his best but now at twenty nine I wouldn't take him to the next world cup. I've never seen him as a a ten or a starter either at top tier test level. The bench needs a serious rethink with ideally a hybrid halfback/wing or a hybrid halfback/ten or a hybrid ten/centre to release that need for two relatively small guys on the bench.
