Glasgow’s Sean Kennedy to keep his starting spot after scoring return

Sean Kennedy will continue at scrum-half when BKT United Rugby Championship leaders Glasgow face Munster in Ireland on Friday night.
Kennedy scored a try in Warriors’ bonus-point win over Ulster last weekend on his first start in more than two-and-a-half years.
Fellow number nine George Horne remains absent after suffering a minor hamstring problem shortly after Franco Smith lost Jamie Dobie to a serious ankle injury and Ali Price to a surprise loan move to Edinburgh.
Smith has rung the changes with Johnny Matthews, Nathan McBeth, Lucio Sordoni, Sintu Manjezi, Sione Vailanu and Henco Venter coming into the pack and Duncan Weir and Ollie Smith also recalled.
Head coach Smith told glasgowwarriors.org:
“The URC is such a competitive competition, yet travelling to Munster remains one of the most difficult challenges in the league.
“Munster are defending champions for a reason; they are a team filled with experience and international quality who know how to perform on the big stage.
“It will be a huge challenge for us and we know we have to be at our best.”

And the “experts” from NSW still bang on about not having enough talent in Australia to maintain a 5th super team. There’s plenty of talent like this guy. Just have a look at the player rosters in France and Japan. Hell, even the French academies are signing up young aussies. They just need to sort their pathways, opportunities and player retention which is often thwarted by the comically poor, shoot themselves in the foot decisions made in Sydney.
