Gloucester hand Saracens rare Premiership defeat
Saracens suffered just their third defeat of the Premiership season as Gloucester upset the league leaders 30-24 at Kingsholm on Friday.
Having edged Exeter in a thriller seven days earlier, the Cherry and Whites claimed another significant scalp thanks to Ben Morgan's two tries and one from Ed Slater.
Michael Rhodes and Matt Gallagher crossed during an improved showing from the visitors after half-time before Jackson Wray salvaged a handy losing bonus point late on.
The margin had ballooned to 20 points when number eight Morgan made it a brace in the 73rd minute, only for Gallagher and Wray to close the gap in a frantic finish.
Gloucester, though, were always comfortable in overcoming the team at the top of the table for the second week in succession, with all three of Billy Twelvetrees' penalties scored inside the opening 35 minutes.
Exeter - who sit a point behind Sarries - now have the chance to return to the summit when they host Newcastle Falcons at Sandy Park on Saturday.
