Henson to return to Wales with Dragons
Gavin Henson will return to Wales from the 2017-18 season, agreeing a two-year deal with Newport Gwent Dragons.
Henson, 35, earned 33 Test caps for Wales, winning two Six Nations Grand Slams in the process, and will join the Pro12 side from Bristol.
Dragons chief executive Stuart Davies was delighted to announce the capture of the former British and Irish Lions player.
Davies said in a statement: "It's fantastic news for Dragons' supporters and Welsh rugby in general that we are bringing back to Wales one of the finest players of a generation.

"I hope that securing the signature of one of the biggest names in the sport will give our supporters a timely lift and renewed hope for what next season might bring, when Gavin's class and experience are added to the potential of our exciting back line."
Henson commented: "I have really enjoyed my time here at Bristol but when the opportunity came along to join the Dragons and return to Wales, I couldn't say no.
"I still have loads to offer and I know what Kingsley wants from me. I'm especially looking forward to pitting myself against the current Welsh players, and hopefully becoming a catalyst and mentor for the tremendous talent that is in the Dragons squad."

Even with absences we still had the cattle to make the playoffs. As it was, we nearly stumbled our way into the top 8. Which shows just how easy it was to get there. And still we failed. As for Razor, there are many instances of him patching up the Crusaders roster. Numerous. Several players Id never heard of. Also, using AB legend John Afoa was a classic.
But, some of the games we were losing were from schoolboy errors, or downright confusion. Either the players were really dumb (they weren’t) or they were poorly coached. Given the repetitive nature of errors, brain fades, poor decision making, & loose structures, this all lands with the coaching group.
With only six playoff spots now in SR, & Aussie franchises now consolidated to four, 2025 looks like a tight one. We'll have to tough it out under Penney & hope for the best.
