Injury hit Bristol Bears sign two scrum-halves on short-term deals
Bristol Bears have recruited two scrum-halves after being hit by injury and unavailability in that position.
Harry Randall is currently on Guinness Six Nations duty with England, impressing during the 33-0 victory over Italy on Sunday.
And Randall’s fellow nines at Bristol are injured, with Andy Uren sidelined due to a hamstring problem and Tom Whiteley limping off during last week’s Gallagher Premiership home defeat against London Irish.
Bristol have signed Toby Venner on loan from Gloucester until the end of this season, while Bath’s Max Green has arrived on a short-term agreement.
Both players are available for selection when Bristol face Premiership opponents Worcester on Friday.
Bristol rugby director Pat Lam said: “I would would like to extend my thanks to George Skivington at Gloucester Rugby and Ed Griffiths at Bath Rugby for allowing the players to join us.”

I thought you meant in europe. Because all of the reasons theyre different I wouldn't correlate that to mean for europe, as in french broadcasters pay two or three times as much as the UK or SA broadcasters do, like they do for their league.
With France, it's not just about viewers, they are also paying much more. So no doubt there will be a hit (to the amount the French teams receive for only playing a fraction of it) but they may not care too much as long as the big clubs, the top 8 for example, enter the meaty end, and it wouldn't have the same value to them as the top14 contract/compensation does. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the 3 separate networks broadcast deals only went to the clubs in their regions as well (that's how SR ended up (unbalanced) I believe).
