An injury-stricken Sale Sharks' player is to take a sabbatical for the 'foreseeable future'.
Sale Sharks and Mark Jennings have mutually agreed that Mark will take a sabbatical away from professional rugby for the foreseeable future.
Jennings said on Tiwtter that: "Very sad time in my life, but just want to massively thank @SaleSharksRugby and @theRPA Richard and mike for helping and understanding threw this time."
In a statement the club saiud: "Mark (25) who has been a member of the Sale Sharks squad for the last eight years, has suffered a number of different injuries throughout his career and after a recent period of convalescence, it has been agreed by both parties that this is the best course of action to take going forward."
On the recent announcement, Mark said: “I would like to thank Sale Sharks for the opportunity and more importantly the understanding to allow me to fully recover away from the club and hopefully make my return once I am fully fit."
Director of Rugby Steve Diamond also commented, he said “Mark has been a great member of the squad throughout the last eight years and I’d like to thank Mark for his contribution to the club. We wish him well in his recovery process.
According to the club website Jenning has suffered several injury setbacks during his career, ranging from niggles to more serious bicep problems.
