Irish star makes fan's day with heartwarming gesture
By Online Editors
Ireland flanker Peter O'Mahony gave his medal away to a big fan after helping Ireland secure their third Six Nations Grand Slam.
O'Mahony found the young Ireland fan Jennifer Malone in the Twickenham crowd on Saturday, before presenting her with his medal and letting her hoist the Six Nations trophy.
The moment was shared on social media by Jennifer's sister, Rachel, and has been met with an overwhelming response.
Jennifer is a regular at Ireland training camps, paying the team a visit on Thursday as they prepared to take on England. British and Irish Lions star O'Mahony reportedly told Jennifer's mother Donna that she received the medal because "She's one of us".

The fixture may have been overly friendly recently, and connaught appeared to be a bit unstuck by the venom and vitriol from Ulster. Doak had an amzing game shooting out with perfect timing to disrupt onnaught on every attacking phase. On paper connaught should have had this. Well done to Ulster. connaught were suckered a bit.
