It's confirmed, Barritt forced to go under knife
Saracens captain Brad Barritt will miss this week's Gallagher Premiership game against Harlequins because he's to have surgery on a facial injury.
The South African-born centre was forced off in the first half of Saturday’s 50-27 win over Bath at Allianz Park after catching a boot to the face in a tackle.
The former England international saw a consultant after the match to discover the extent of the damage and will have surgery this week, ruling him out for the Quins match at the Twickenham Stoop.
The club has not said whether Barritt will be fit in time for their Heineken Champions Cup opener against Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun on October 14th.
Saracens, the defending Premiership champions, have made a blistering start to the season winning all five matches, taking maximum points in the process and sit top, a point ahead of Exeter Chiefs.

Disagree.
The challenge for the All Blacks now that they have 7 of 8 starting forwards locked in and all but one bench forward (only one loose forward and bench loosie to settle on) is to sort out the starting backline as only 9 Roigard, 12 J. Barrett, 11 Clarke and 15 Jordan had good to outstanding seasons in 2024. All the other backs were inconsistent or poor and question marks going into 2025.
