Jonny Gray hasn't joined Scotland camp as replacement called up
Jamie Hodgson has been called into the Scotland squad amid fitness concerns over Jonny Gray. Gray has not featured for Exeter since December 31.
Edinburgh lock Hodgson, 24, has made five Scotland appearances, including one start, having made his international debut against Tonga in October 2021.
The Scottish Rugby Union delivered a brief squad update which read: “Jamie Hodgson has joined the training camp in Edinburgh.
“Jonny Gray has remained at his club due to an ongoing medical issue.”
Elsewhere versatile forward Euan Ferrie has agreed his first professional contract with Glasgow, the club have announced.
The 21-year-old East Kilbride product has made six Warriors appearances this season, mostly at blindside flanker, but he can also operate in the second row.
The former Hamilton Bulls and Glasgow Hawks player impressed for Scotland in the 2021 Under-20 Six Nations and has made 13 appearances for Boroughmuir Bears squad in the the FOSROC Super6.
