Josh Beaumont pledges 'immediate' future to Sale Sharks
Sale Sharks have announced that Josh Beaumont is the latest member of the squad to extend his rugby career in the North West.
Josh follows Jono Ross and Ben Curry in pledging his immediate future to the Sharks, for whom he has made 103 senior appearances. He captained the club in 2016-17.
Josh (26) has played at Number 8 and Second Row this season, scoring two tries in sixteen appearances.
Commenting on the announcement Josh said, “I’m delighted to be re-signing again at Sale Sharks. The ambition that the owners and Dimes are showing in moving the club forward made it in an easy decision for me, and it’s something I want to be part of.
With numerous other senior players re-signing and the calibre of Academy talent coming through, I believe we can become one of the strongest teams in the country and start winning trophies on a regular basis.”
Director of Rugby Steve Diamond added: "I'm delighted that Beau has agreed a new contract with the club. He is a North-West lad and has come all the way through our Academy which is a great advert for what we are doing here at Sale.
"After getting through a number of injuries over the last few seasons, Josh has been able to keep himself in good condition this year and has shown the international level qualities we know he has. As our former Captain and a natural leader, it's great to have him on board for two more years."

I’d say France was far more hard done by in the 2011 final than the All Blacks in this game. Joubert simply refused to call a penalty against the All Blacks in the last quarter even directing an All Black to drop a ball he picked up in an offside position rather than penalizing him. This article also totally discounts the efforts of PSTD. Ask Jordie how well he played. Or the backup flank who played hooker for the entire game. Siya was also a brilliant tackle by Richie from scoring a blinder. Pollard was also fantastic. Look I don’t like the boks style but the only thing more questionable than the content of this article is the timing of it. Get over it already
