Josh Van Der Flier is latest Irish casualty
By Online Editors
Joe Schmidt will name his squad for the upcoming Autumn internationals later this week but will be without Josh Van Der Flier.
The Leinster flanker will need surgery after damaging his ankle in their victory over Glasgow on Saturday.
That will rule the 24-year old out of Leinster's clash with Ulster and the three games for Ireland against Fiji, South Africa and Argentina.
Van Der Flier has been in flying form for Leinster and was widely expected to be named Schmidt's final selection on Thursday.
