Josua Tuisova's Toulon exit a done deal - reports
Reports coming out of France suggest that Toulon favourite Josua Tuisova's decision to leave the club is effectively a done deal.
The formidable winger - known for his rampaging runs through opposition defences - is set to sign for big spending Lyon, apparently on a four-year deal.
RMC Sport reported last week that despite having another season on his Toulon contract, the Fijian star has come to an agreement with Toulon that will see his new club buy him out of his contract.
Toulon will still have some firepower in their backline that would effectively cushion the blow of his leaving, although they may also be set lose his older brother Filipo Nakosi, who has proved himself at the club since joining from Agen.
The club does still count JP Pietersen and the controversial figure of Julian Savea on their books, although question marks remain over the out of form All Black's future at the club.
Leaving aside his likely involvement in the Rugby World Cup in Japan, Olympic gold medalist Tuisova will also have half an eye on the 2020 Olympics in the same country.
The 106kg wing provided a brutally violent foil to the fast feet and hands skills of his Fiji Sevens teammates in, and head coach Gareth Baber could well draw on his talents once again.
Lyon claimed their first Top 14 win since February as they ran in four tries to beat Toulon 42-33 last month. They are currently third in the Top 14 table, and have made no bones about aggressively recruiting ahead of next season. The club have been linked with a number of top-rank players, including former Ulster flyhalf Paddy Jackson.
