Leinster are set to host Munster at Croke Park in round four of the United Rugby Championship next season.

The two provinces will battle it out at the 82,000-capacity GAA stadium for the first time since their 2009 European semi-final, which Leinster won 25-6.

The encounter on Saturday October 12 will be Leinster's second home game of what will be a nomadic season while the RDS Arena undergoes renovation. While the Aviva Stadium will host the majority of Leinster's home matches, Croke Park is set to see some rugby as well.

The match will see Leinster return to Croke Park for the first time since the Investec Champions Cup semi-final last season against Northampton Saints, which the hosts won 20-17.

The stadium proved to be a popular venue on that occasion, with tickets selling out in under three days.

Both sides crashed out of the URC at the semi-final stage last season, and have been busy recruiting in the off-season. Leinster in particular have made some marquee signings, including Munster's very own World Cup-winning lock RG Snyman.

Fortunately for Munster, another statement signing by their rivals, All Black Jordie Barrett, is set to link up with Leo Cullen and Jacques Nienaber after the November internationals.
