Leo Cullen has called upon a mixture of youth and experience for the Conference A clash. Rob Kearney starts at full-back with Fergus McFadden on the right wing and Dave Kearney - one of those released by Ireland boss Andy Farrell - on the left.

In the centre Joe Tomane wears the No12 jersey with Jimmy O'Brien outside him. Luke McGrath is partnered by Ciaran Frawley in the half-backs.

In the front row, Peter Dooley is joined by Ronan Kelleher, who was recently capped by Ireland for the first time, while Michael Bent makes a return from injury at tighthead.

Ross Molony is joined by captain Scott Fardy in the second row. In the back row, Max Deegan - another recent new Ireland cap - wears the No8 jersey with Rhys Ruddock at blind side and Will Connors selected at open side.

Meanwhile, Johan Coetzee will be the first South African player to earn his 50th PRO14 cap for a South African side.

Cheetahs coach Hawies Fourie believes Coetzee’s calmness at the set-piece has become one of their attacking weapons and something they will want to make use of in Dublin.

“We are going there with the knowledge they are the strongest team in the competition, but we know if we pitch up on the day, then we will have a chance to win,” he said. “If you don’t think you have a chance to win, then you might as well not be in this competition.”
