Lima Sopoaga defends Sonny Bill Williams following controversy
Lima Sopoaga has leapt to the defence of fellow All Black Sonny Bill Williams after a recent Instagram photo stirred up considerable controversy online.
Williams came under attack when he uploaded the below photo of himself and his wife Alana, with the couples eldest daughter Alana, driving around the streets of Rarotunga in their convertible car.
At a glance, it's a seemingly quite innocuous shot of the Williams family until we see the lack of a child seat for daughter Alana.
The picture was ultimately swarmed upon by people who felt the need to comment disapprovingly.
It was at this point that Lima Sopoaga came to the defence of his teammate and the Williams family, posting the below tweet.
"This is Rarotunga. Way of life there. @SonnyBillWilliams ain't doing nothing wrong," stated Sopoaga.
The image clearly shows numerous road health and safety risks being violated, Sopoaga's argument is that this sort of indiscretion is not a major issue in Rarotunga and just simply a way of life.
Both men are currently enjoying their offseason before Williams is set to link back up with the Blues and Sopoaga with the Highlander.

Even in this performance you can see what did him in in the test arena..he almost always still runs at the opposition almost ramrod upright making him easier to stop than it should be.
