WATCH: Zero evidence of improvement from Pumas
'Coming down a level' - that's how Scotty Stevenson has described what the All Blacks are doing this weekend against Los Pumas.
However, his fairly harsh assumption is backed up by fact - Argentina have been woeful in The Rugby Championship so far this year, having been beaten comfortably by the Springboks both home and away.
As well as the poor start by the national team, the Jaguares were again disappointing in Super Rugby.
"Here's a Pumas side with zero evidence of improvement over two years." Stevenson said on The Short Ball, Rugby Pass's podcast.
"The Jaguares are absolute shite...you go through their numbers, there's not a single stat they lead in.
"Does anyone truly believe that Argentina are going to come to New Zealand and challenge the All Blacks?"

Very good point. I think the CO2 cost of international sport is a big taboo today (and it doesn't look like it'll change anytime soon unfortunately for all humans).
Regarding your second point, I fully agree as well. We have seen this very one-eyed backlash of the French policy on the July tour, most people refuse to see that the best SA players are suffering from the exact same problem : accumulated fatigue from playing too much without significant breaks. The Boks and the Argentinians played the world cup, the URC/Top14/Premiership, the July series, the Championship, etc, etc, with almost no compulsary resting period. This has to change, for the sake of the players, and in fine for the sake of the sport !
