Bristol Rugby reveal all 9 signings as Lam bulks up pack
Bristol Rugby revealed nine new signing as part of a bumper 'Signed Up Saturday' reveal - but Wasps flanker James Haskell was not one of them.
Many had speculated that the club would announce Haskell as one of the nine, but fans will have to wait to find out whether not the England backrow will indeed join the club.
Fans however have a raft of new players to evaluate, with a split of seven to two in favour of forwards suggesting Pat Lam is keen to significantly strengthen his pack.
The list of 9 does not include a host of players who have already been officially announced, including the man touted as rugby's highest paid player - Charles Piutau.
The list of nine signings
The first to be officially unveiled is former All Blacks prop John Afoa.
The second annoucement is Exeter Chiefs hooker Shaun Malton.
The third annoucement is Nick Stirzaker from the Melbourne Rebels.
Yann Thomas returns to the club from Gloucester.
Experienced lock Aly Muldowney signs from Grenoble.
Flyhalf Tiff Eden signs.
As revealed by RugbyPass several months ago, Harry Thacker joins from Leicester Tigers.
Jake Heenan, the former New Zealand U20s captain, signs from Connacht.
Samoan prop Jordan Lay signs is the final signing.

Think it was a great defensive performance by Northampton. They didn't have stage fright in the first half, the Nienaber defense smothered them. They limited Leinster to 15-3 in the first half. It could have been over by then. A great try from Leinster in the start of the second half looked to have sealed it. But Byrne missed another conversion. Northampton started trying little kicks behind the Leinster wingers. Leinster messed one and Smith brilliantly made the conversion. Leinster decided to tighten the game after Byrne missed a straight forward penalty. A few errors got NH into the 22 and they scored and converted with a few minutes left. Another brilliant steal from Lawes saw NH have a final attack which was turned over by Conan. A classic semi final. World record attendance of 82,300. Leinsters 3 week preparation warranted for this one.
