Munster's updated Injury list

Munster’s injury list is once again filling up, this time around former junior Springbok Thaakir Abrahams finds himself facing some time on the sideline after sustaining another injury.

Abrahams (shoulder) has had surgery this week alongside Craig Casey (knee) and Jean Kleyn (thigh), who are all ruled out for extended periods of time.

Former Chiefs Super Rugby midfielder and current Munster player Alex Nankivell will miss some time after picking up a hamstring injury last weekend against Ulster at Kingspan Stadium.

The 28-year-old had to be substituted late in the first half, nursing a hamstring injury that he will get scans on to reveal the extent of the injury.

25-year-old Munster prop Dan Bleuler is in the process of completing his return-to-play protocols after sustaining a head injury in last weekend’s game in Belfast.

Munster have been without Diarmuid Barron (chest), Peter O’Mahony (calf contusion) and Conor Murray (elbow), although they are all close to a return, and may be available in weeks to come.

The casualty list isn’t a pretty sight for the Munster side, who are still without ten other players who are currently rehabbing injuries.

Still recovering from injuries:

Liam Coombes (chest), Seán O’Brien (leg), Diarmuid Kilgallen (wrist), Jeremy Loughman (hip), Josh Wycherley (neck), Mark Donnelly (ankle), Patrick Campbell (shoulder), Cian Hurley (knee), Edwin Edogbo (Achilles), Roman Salanoa (knee).
