Sailosi Tagicakibau, the former Samoa, London Irish and Wasps wing, has enlisted the help of Fijian powerhouse Nemani Nadolo who has agreed to join the Two Blues club in Sydney in 2023 as his nominated Shute Shield Club when he links up with the Waratahs after Christmas.

The Leicester Tigers wing is returning to the Waratahs after a travelling the rugby world playing in New Zealand, France, England, and Japan. Nadolo helped Leicester win the Gallagher Premiership title last season and is hoping his latest move – designed to bring his family closer to relatives – can help convince Vern Cotter, the Fiji head coach, to include the wing in the squad for next year’s Rugby World Cup in France.

Nadolo says he has opted to join Two Blues to support the club’s Premiership ambition and to work with Junior and Colts development across Western Sydney.

Nadolo said “The Two Blues are a Club on the up and I really admire their journey and hard work going into making the Club successful. I have known Sailosi (Tagicakibau) for a long time, and it made a lot of sense to link up with him on my return to Sydney. I am also eager to assist the club with promoting and growing rugby in Western Sydney – there is a big Pasifika community living there and I hope to inspire some of the young kids in the region to follow their rugby dreams like I did.”

Two Blues Head Coach Tagicakibau said “We are really excited to have Nemani join the club for the 2023 season. Everyone will know he is an exciting player with a massive international rugby profile, all of which will help the Two Blues on and off the field next year. I look forward to working with him to make a difference to our club and community. I am sure he will do a lot of great work to inspire kids in Western Sydney to take up rugby.”
