Newcastle back finds new home in the Championship
Newcastle utility back George Wacokecoke has picked up a new club after being released by the Falcons, with Doncaster Knights set to announce the centre/wing's signature.
Wacokecoke, who has been with the Falcons since 2018, has agreed to join the Yorkshire outfit and the deal will be officially announced once Newcastle's terrible season finishes against Gloucester this Saturday.
Doncaster have already announced a raft of new signings for next season as they make a push for promotion to the Premiership under Joe Ford, son of England fly-half George.
Former Jersey Reds and Leicester back-row, Thom Smith, returns to Castle Park for a second spell, Nottingham pair - fly-half Morgan Bunting and centre/wing Jordon Olowofela - head north, whilst Bristol hooker Fred Davies and Scarlets tight-head Joe Jones will bolster the front row.
Wacokecoke, 28, has only made five appearances in both the Premiership and Europe this season, and the three-year contract he signed in 2021 whilst playing under Dean Richards is due to expire.

Go to commentsI'll say it again. The England players are really good but they have shown consistently that they are not world beaters in every position. New World Cup cycle. Bring in new side based on young players who can be word beaters in 27. This team won't. Pollock, Fasogbon, Hill, Tizzard, Fitz-Harding for Skipper, Ibitoye, Lesowzki, Kenningham, Tom Willis, Retain the Smits and Mitchell. Current pack is overrated, especially the 4 - 8. You need to be able to defend and carry and be up for the fight. 12 13 and wing channels are one dimensional. If England doesn't change it will be also-rans for a long time.
