Nonu's Toulon extension done, says president
By Peter Hanson
New Zealand legend Ma'a Nonu has signed a new deal to stay with Toulon next season, president Mourad Boudjellal has said.
Nonu made the switch to the Top 14 giants after playing a key role in the All Blacks becoming the first nation to win consecutive Rugby World Cups in 2015.
The powerhouse centre, capped 103 times for New Zealand, helped Toulon to the Top 14 final last season and Boudjellal stated that talks over a new deal had begun in December.
And the president says Nonu will now be staying in France next term.
"Yes it is signed," Boudjellal said in quotes reported by L'Equipe. "Ma'a Nonu will be in Toulon next season."
Toulon are fifth in the Top 14 table after 17 matches this season.

Hmm Penney might be a bit shy after his request to play Havili at 10 this year..
Go to commentsPretty accurate imo. I remember a couple years ago when I bought a set of boks v AB tickets for the Eden Park match but it was cancelled because Auckland went into a covid lockdown for about 3 months. If I remember accurately, the real reason the lockdown happened was to protect the ABs unbeaten record by cancelling that game.
