Pau sign ex-England prop Harry Williams
Pau have announced the signing of former England tighthead prop Harry Williams, as reported by RugbyPass.
The 32-year-old has signed on a one-year deal with an option to extend, and will provide cover for Siate Tokolahi, who ruptured his Achilles in the final game of last season.
Williams left Montpellier earlier this month after only a season at the club, but was not out of employment for long.
He will reunite with his former Exeter Chiefs teammate Joe Simmonds, who arrived at the Stade du Hameau at the beginning of last season.
"Pau contacted me, the project appealed to me and it convinced me to come," Williams said after signing.
"It was a good opportunity to discover another club. I like the stadium, the city and the mountains, I have already had the opportunity to visit Pau with Joe Simmonds. I am looking forward to the start of the season, I am very happy to join the club!"
Pau head coach Sébastien Piqueronies added: "In order to compensate for Siate's injury, we took the time to identify the profile best suited to our needs and requirements. Harry is an experienced prop who has won titles. This is a strong addition to our project!"

I'm not meaning to criticise the players, it's a professional game, this is their livelihood so all power to them. I am aiming criticism at the selectors. Italy is the perfect opportunity to give players of the future a game such as Lakai, Love etc. There is a finite number of tests until the next world cup to develop the team, we are wasting one today.
