PRO14 confirm another Dragons match has been cancelled
The Guinness Pro14 have confirmed that a third Dragons match has been postponed after an updated fixture list was released ahead of the Christmas period. Earlier this month the Dragons were forced to close down their training base following an outbreak of Covid-19.
As a result, the Dragons' Round 5 and 6 fixtures against Connacht and Glasgow were postponed.
And now the Pro14 have confirmed that the Dragons' Round 7 fixture against Edinburgh, set for next Monday, has also been postponed.
The Pro14 have also confirmed the rescheduled dates for the postponed Connacht v Benetton (Rd 4) and Glasgow v Dragons (Rd 6) games.
A Pro14 statement outlined that the Dragons squad are set to return to organised training later this week and are expected to fulfil their next scheduled fixture against Benetton later this month (November 29).
"PRO14 Rugby can confirm that the R7 Dragons versus Edinburgh game set to take place on Monday, November 23 has been postponed," the statement read.
"Following advice from Public Health Wales, Dragons have taken the decision, with the full support of PRO14 Rugby, to isolate for 14 days and will not return to organised team training until later this week.
"This will mean there is not enough adequate preparation time to ensure players can return safely to full match intensity.
"Everyone at the region and PRO14 Rugby full expects Dragons to fulfil their R8 fixture with Benetton Rugby and their games with Connacht and Edinburgh will be rescheduled for early 2021."
The full list of details for the rescheduled games can be viewed below, while the Pro14's full Christmas fixture list can be found here.

The Boks will remain formidable while Rassie is running the show. Can't see England beating the French anytime soon. New Zealand will be OK as long as they don't get complacent about rugby League's efforts to make serious inroads in New Zealand.
