Questions raised about timing of Wales' players Caribbean holiday
Plenty of questions have been raised by fans after it was revealed that Wales internationals Liam Williams, Gareth Anscombe and Cory Allen took the opportunity to travel to Barbados after the Guinness Six Nations clash with Scotland last Saturday was postponed at the 11th hour due to the coronavirus outbreak.
walesonline.co.uk shared Instagram photos of the players and their partners on holiday in the Caribbean, and many wondered what the implications of such a trip were. With much of Europe going into lockdown in reaction to the coronavirus pandemic, flights are being restricted more and more, leaving many fans curious whether the players will be able to return.
With all rugby suspended for the time being, the players will not miss anything. On top of that, both Anscombe and Allen are recovering from knee injuries anyway. But with the situation changing day by day, no one knows what further government announcements will be made.
With people in the United Kingdom being encouraged to limit social interaction and stay at home as much as possible to avoid the spread of the virus, some have also asked whether this trip by the Welsh internationals sends out the best message.
A window like this would usually be the perfect opportunity for players to get away on a break. But in this climate, it is understandable that some people are a little vexed about what they are doing.

Go to commentsEnd of the day it wasn't Fozzie that missed two vital kicks at goal. It wasn't Fozzie who tackled high. It also wasn't Fozzie who fired his two closest friends lol. Razor already did the same with Leon McDonald, so this is nothing against him. Also, wasn't Fozzie who came up with the lame excuse called Suzie, that basically damned them for the next 100 years. Mark my words, they will keep losing important Rugby World Cup games until they apologise for what they did in post 1995. Disgraceful. And for those about to defend "Suzie" , I'll say this. Why was your team so smiley and fired up during the Haka? Full of smiles in fact. The reason is, the nation could not accept their failure and they had to find an excuse, jus to cope and survive in NZ. You probably believe the tooth fairy is real too...
