Recently relegated Oyonnax scoop versatile Scotland prop
ProD2-bound Oyonnax have signed Scotland prop Oli Kebble from Glasgow Warriors on a two-year deal, as reported by RugbyPass.
The 32-year-old brought his seven-year stay with Glasgow to a close on Saturday by winning the United Rugby Championship in his native South Africa against the Bulls.
Kebble started on bench at Loftus Versfeld, covering the tighthead position, although the versatile front row is perhaps more comfortable at loosehead.
During his time with the Warriors, Kebble earned eleven caps for Scotland, making his debut in 2020, but he has not been part of Gregor Townsend's plans in recent campaigns.
The prop will be making the switch from URC champions to a relegated outfit, after Oyonnax finished at the foot of the Top 14 table, ten points adrift of Montpellier. They have clearly set their sights on swiftly returning to France's top division, and this signing is a signal of their intent.
Kebble's exit from Scotstoun was confirmed last month by the club. Head coach Franco Smith said: “We would like to thank each and every one of our leavers for their efforts throughout their time with Glasgow Warriors.
“Each of them have bought in and contributed both on and off the field, helping us to become as close-knit a playing group as we can possibly be.
“I would like to sincerely thank each player for their commitment to the club over the years, and we wish them all the very best for whatever comes next.
“Every player and their family is welcome back at Scotstoun at any point – once a Warrior, always a Warrior.”

Good coach. Unpleasant person.
