Report: Black Ferns set to cash in

The New Zealand Herald's Gregor Paul has reported that tomorrow will see the announcement of a new agreement leading to a bigger pay packet for New Zealand's national women's side.
The amount the Black Ferns can earn is set to see a significant increase, jumping from $8,000-$10,000 a year to between $15,000 and $30,000.
Throw in the possibility of an extended playing schedule and New Zealand's top players could be earning up to $45,000 a year, Paul reports.
Those who were part of New Zealand's triumph at the 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup in Ireland could also be in line for a retrospective bonus of $10,000.
Though the agreement is without doubt a positive step forward, there is still plenty of room for improvement.
By comparison, the All Blacks' 2015 World Cup campaign brought in $160,000 for each All Black, while the Black Ferns took home $8,000 after their 2017 World Cup victory.
Recently, Black Ferns star Portia Woodman was named one of Rugby Almanack's five players of the year for 2017.
The 2017 edition also features Black Ferns captain Fiao'o Fa'amausili on the cover - the first time a woman has graced the cover in the Almanack's 81-years.
