Returning Ringrose added to Ireland Six Nations squad
Garry Ringrose has returned to the Ireland fold in one of three squad additions made by head coach Joe Schmidt.
The Leinster centre missed his country's opening Six Nations victories over France and Italy with an ankle injury, having sat out the first five months of the season following shoulder surgery.
Ringrose will be a welcome option for Schmidt, who lost the influential Robbie Henshaw to a shoulder problem, but Munster centre Chris Farrell is likely to start against Wales in Dublin on Saturday.
Hooker Niall Scannell and scrum-half John Cooney will also train with Schmidt's contingent to cover for injuries to Rob Herring (elbow) and Luke McGrath (knee).
An Ireland Rugby statement added: "Tadhg Furlong, Iain Henderson and James Ryan are progressing well through their respective rehab programmes."

Much like the Chiefs finally gave up waiting for Atu Moli to ever not be injured, you have to wonder if the Chiefs and Crusaders will let Josh Lord and Ethan Blackadder go next season. They’re being well paid to sit in the injury ward every year. Better off putting those funds towards someone who might actually play.
