A 10 will always get judged on their kicking which is why he gets a tough time for blowing RWC finals but he was the only reason the AB made the last final. Destroyed the Irish defence in the 1/4 final to put Jordan in for his try going into the final 20 mins. That was the game. What I’ve seen of him in Japan is further improvement in his play making and try assists.
I’ve seen nothing in the 10’s coming through to suggest they are on his level in open play.

I guess there’s a case for saying that Borthwick should have him in the squad to have a look at, but I’d rather Borthwick was looking at Hodge & Cotgreave, who (i) haven’t been in (m)any England squads so far, and (ii) I think would do a better job than Arundell if given a shot against Argentina and/or the USA.
