I suspect the major holdback is still for other unions to sell their tickets. One thing I did notice and didn’t know how to quantify is that the major areas of availability seem to be the standing sections in the grounds that have them.

reminded me that we have the Women’s Soccer Euros a month or two ahead of the RWC. A good run there could well stoke additional interest for the rugby, especially as the broadcasters and the sports themselves seem to be getting their act together in terms of promoting a summer of women’s sport.

But even without that, what’s clear is that the tournament has already met its planned sales and that the matches will be well attended, with the bigger ones almost certainly selling out. I imagine that financially we’re now well into upside territory.

Yes and newly-minted legends like ‘Champ Rugby’ also cost a lot of money for the ‘creativity’ need to produce them. At least you are getting something back when a stadium gets renamed after a company, not so sure about this. IIRC Barclay cvhanged their logo a while back, they just tilted the letters forward a bit. So good to see Fletcher Newell, David Havili and especially Will Jordan back for the Crusaders to face the Reds in the Quarter Final. This is a very good side and some good players have not made the bench. Great bench, likes of James O’Connor, Johnny McNicoll, Cullen Grace others there. Crusaders “Rookie” of the Year, Kyle Preston there. Some big discussions around the selectors table , given the options.

Well shift workers and factory workers all do. Guys on night shift can’t get to training and guys working weekends can’t play. It’s caused a massive drop in player numbers for last 20 years.

Hasn’t used them!? You must not have watched any of the Chiefs games this year. Jacobson has smashed the Blues and Crusaders players 2 times each this year, amongst being a standout in every other game he’s played.
