Russell confident Scotland are 'building nicely' towards World Cup

Scotland stand-off Finn Russell admits their emphatic victory in Georgia was a major boost ahead of their World Cup campaign.
Scotland has been strong at BT Murrayfield in recent years but they have lost their last four Guinness Six Nations away games and started their warm-up campaign with a 32-3 defeat in Nice.
So Russell was delighted to perform away from Edinburgh.
Russell told the Scottish Rugby Twitter account: “It was a good performance from the boys away from home in challenging conditions and the crowd was really for Georgia.
“It was good for us to get a win away before going back to Murrayfield next week.
“It was a good game for us – still a lot to work on but we are building nicely.”
The Racing 92 fly-half was on top form in Scotland’s first trip to Tbilisi, having a hand in four of Scotland’s five tries, including two for centre Rory Hutchinson on his first start.
“It was good fun for me, especially in a game like that when we were ahead early on,” Russell added.
“Without taking your foot off the gas, you can try things out and enjoy it while you are doing it.”
Scotland now host Georgia in their final warm-up game next Saturday – after Gregor Townsend names his final 31-man squad.

It’ll be very interesting to see how Razor’s AB’s handle the new England rush D. It’s basically the Bok recipe they copied, so if England goes well then we know most likely the Boks will go well too. If England cops a hiding then we’ll have to study and adapt.
